Description
This 2 Day course is designed for employers wishing to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding of their employees and is delivered to groups of up to 6 delegates. It is well documented that unconscious bias – bias or implicit associations has a lot to do with our patterns of behaviour. Unconscious biases therefore, affect the decisions we make and the way we communicate with people on a daily basis. This course addresses the reasons unconscious bias is inherent in us, how we can recognise and deal with unconscious bias in the workplace. From a practical approach, we will engage delegates in activities based around everyday examples and examine the psychological background to unconscious bias.
Unconscious bias therefore affects everyone – it is not something that we can eradicate easily. However, once we can identify its existence, the course will address ways in which delegates can create an environment in which unconscious bias can be addressed. This training course will enable delegates to identify ways in which unconscious bias can affect the decision-making process regarding the recruitment, promotion, attitudes and behaviour towards others in an working environment.
